Health & wellness

This section holds supplements outside the sports and vitamin sections: plant extracts and adaptogens, functional mushrooms, collagen, glucosamine and chondroitin, bacterial cultures and digestive enzymes, Q10 and other antioxidants, and products for men and for women.

We show health claims only in the EU-authorised wording, and only when a product's dose meets the claim's condition. Plants and mushrooms mostly have no such claims, so we compare composition and dose.

FAQ

Why does one product show a claim and another not?

The EU authorises claims only for certain substances in a certain dose. When a product does not meet the condition, or the substance has no claim, we do not show one.

Can they be taken with medication?

Some plants and supplements interact with medicines. If you take medication, ask a doctor first.

How does a capsule differ from a tablet?

A capsule is often easier to swallow, a tablet holds more of the substance. Plant capsules are made of hypromellose.
